1. The right to life: The whole book is talking about how this girl’s life ended in a concentration camp when the Gestapo found her and her family in the “Secret Annex” and killed them because they are Jews.
2. Freedom to move: They only had a little time to move and they didn’t have that much freedom: Pages 45-47: “ Rest hours: 10 o’clock in the evening until 7:30 in the morning”.
3. The right to seek to a safe place to live: Holland wasn’t safe enough for them. Page 61: “We had a short circuit; on top of that the guns kept banging away all the time”.
